Leath Barn Holiday Cottage (sleeps 8 + 2 cots) is a beautiful example of a large, traditional Norfolk barn that has been sympathetically converted, retaining many of the orginal beams and features. Standing on the edge of rolling farmland, it was fully restored to the highest standard in 1995, with solid old Norfolk brick and flint walls and a red pantile roof in traditonal East Anglian vernacular style. Close to the Norfolk Broads and the Norfolk coast, and just a short distance from the historic cathedral city of Norwich, it provides an ideal location for exploring the region.

West Somerton is a small village tucked into a quiet corner of east Norfolk between the Norfolk Broads and the sea. The sandy beach at Winterton on Sea is just two miles away, and it is also home to Winterton Dunes Nature Reserve. Horsey Mere is nearby, with spectacular views across the marshes being offered from the National Trust's Horsey Windpump.

There is also a beach and a National Nature Reserve at East Somerton, two miles away, which can be reached by walking or cycling through woodland and along farm tracks. Families will enjoy days out at the many attractions in the area with something to appeal to all ages from boat trips and fun fairs to coastal walks and historic houses.
